2017 QB Devito to audition for Pitt

Class of 2017 Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep quarterback Tommy Devito is still waiting to start his first varsity game, but that doesn't mean he's not already thinking about his recruiting future.
The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Devito recently competed in the Golden Arm Challenge, an elite quarterback event in Atlanta, Ga. He said competing against the best at his position from around the country will only help prepare him for the battle to get on the field at perennial power Don Bosco this fall.

"It's hard there because there are so many kids fighting for spots," he said. "There are tons of kids at every position and you have to beat everyone out and show that you're the best."
This summer Devito is planning to attend a number of camps, with an eye towards the South.
"I would like to go down south for some warmer weather," he said. "I like Miami, Alabama and Texas so I'm going to try to get to all of those schools."
With an eye towards his first offer, Devito is also planning to camp at Pittsburgh, a school that has already shown some interest.
"They came in one day at my school and were talking to me about camping," Devito said. "So I'm going to go down there and give them a look and give them a chance to see me."
