2017 FL DB Roberts high on Gamecocks
Class of 2017 Orange Park (Fla.) Oakleaf defensive back Nick Roberts picked up an offer from South Carolina earlier in the spring and he said he continues to remain in touch with the Gamecocks staff.
"I've been talking to Coach Spurrier Jr. quite a bit since they offered me," the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Roberts said. "They like me as a corner and he's just telling me how I can fit in there."

During the weekly calls between Roberts and Spurrier Jr., the two have discussed several things and Roberts said they're building a good bond.
"Coach Spurrier is a really good coach," Roberts said. "We get along well. He just tells me to come visit. They want me to come up and see the campus and they want to see me work out at camp."
Roberts said he figures to be a busy camper this offseason, with several trips already on the agenda.
"A whole bunch of schools want me to come camp," he said. "Ohio State, Miami and South Carolina are on the list for sure. We'll see where else I can go."
