2017 DB Lee ready to see trio of Texas schools

It's been a busy offseason for Class of 2017 New Orleans (La.) Landry-Walker defensive back Michael Lee, but unfortunately for him, it didn't include quite as much movement on the recruiting front as he would have liked.
"It seemed like every time I was about to go on a visit we have a 7-on-7 or a team event," said Lee, who has offers from Texas Tech, Cal and Utah. "So I didn't get to take as many trips as I would have liked."

After competing in Deion Sanders Prime21 event in the Dallas area this past weekend, Lee said he's done with events for the summer and is planning a trip across Texas to see three major programs.
"I want to see Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Texas," Lee said. "If I can get those trips in I will be happy and then I can go right into getting ready for the season."
Lee said he hasn't visited any of the schools before, but coaches at each program have been working to get him on campus.
"I talk to Coach Terry Joseph at Texas A&M and he really wanted me to visit on July 12 but I was at Prime 21," Lee said. "I want to get out there and see everything that he has been telling me about."
The same goes for the Red Raiders.
"I talk to coach Kevin Curtis and he's cool," Lee said. "They were my first offer so I want to make sure I get there, too."
Like any prospect from Louisiana who is getting serious recruiting interest, Lee also said he's had contact with LSU. But unlike most prospects from the state, he said an offer from the Tigers won't make or break his recruitment.
"They haven't offered me yet but that's OK," he said. "I would take it but I'm not really waiting on them or anything."
