2016 WR talks new B1G offer recaps SEC visit

A few weeks ago sophomore wide receiver Brad Hawkins burst onto the scene with offers from Florida and South Carolina. After visiting one SEC powerhouse another top program has offered the rising star.
"My dad just told me Michigan State offered me," said the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Hawkins. "I don't know much about them. I know they a very good program and good coaches but that's about it."

Last weekend Hawkins went to visit South Carolina with some teammates.
"It was a good weekend," he said. "It was really nice and I learned a lot of new stuff. I never knew they had an academic center for the athletes. It's somewhere the athletes can go after practice for study hall that is separate from the other students. The coaches talked to my coach a lot. They seemed pretty nice and I liked them.
"The facilities were nice," Hawkins said. "I liked the way the academics are set up. You can get one-on-one time with tutors. That stuck out to me. I saw the campus too. It was really big. I never knew how it was going to be like with it being so spread apart. I felt comfortable at that school. It's a fit for me."
There are a number of other schools that are in contact with Hawkins.
"Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, Alabama and some others are reaching out to me," he said.
Hawkins thinks he might visit Rutgers next.
