2016 WR Pollard getting big interest from SEC

With his team in the midst of an undefeated season and ranked as one of the nation's best, it makes sense that recruiting is starting to heat up for 2016 Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County wide receiver Kiel Pollard. He recently added offers from Boston College and Old Dominion, bringing his total to five, with plenty of other power programs close to pulling the trigger as well.
"We are 9-0 and just won the region championship," the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Pollard said. "I've been taking visits on the weekends, too. I've been to Auburn for the South Carolina game and to Florida State a bunch of times."

Pollard camped with the Tigers over the summer and continues to be on the school's radar thanks to the help of his coach Rush Propst, who has a good relationship with the Auburn staff.
"I know my head coach is really talking to them about offering me," Pollard said. "He has known Coach Malzahn for a long time and he's telling them how I would fit into their offense. I hope it works out because that's one I'm hoping to get."
On his trip to Auburn, Pollard said he enjoyed himself quite a bit, especially considering the Tigers came away with the victory.
"It was awesome," he said. "It kind of reminded me of the way our home games, but obviously with more folks. It just felt good to be there and see them win. The wide receiver coach remembered me from the summer and said they are keeping an eye on me."
Pollard has been a regular at Florida State games this fall, but said he's still waiting for the Seminoles to start showing some more love on the recruiting trail.
"I met their wide receivers coach a few weeks ago and he was cool," Pollard said. "They invite me to games every week and they play a lot of big games so that's where I like to go."
Alabama also recently joined the fray on the interest front and Pollard said he's ready to start building a relationship with the coaches there.
"They had been sending me some mail so I called the wide receivers coach and we talked for a long time," Pollard said. "I'm still focused on my season but Alabama is a great school and a great program so hopefully we will talk more in the future."
Through nine games this season Pollard has 42 catches for 550 yards and five touchdowns.
