Being from Baton Rouge, Davis readily admits to favoring LSU.
"Cam Cameron and I are liked best friends," he said. "I know I have a lot of people down there that have my back and will help me out when I graduate. I love the fans at LSU. It's a great place to be and a great place to play. There are nice people and it's a great coaching staff."
Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami and Maryland all offered Davis over the span of a few days but he says that are some other that are showing a lot of interest also..
"Virginia Tech likes me a lot," Davis said. "So does Penn State and Clemson. None of them are standing out for me yet.
"Right now I know Clemson is really close to offering me," he said. "LSU could after me after I camp down there in two weeks."
Davis was very outspoken about how much he liked the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge presented by Under Armour in Jacksonville.
"I thought it was great," said Davis. "I loved all the gear and the coaches got me hyped to play that day and for football season really."
Davis is hoping to hear from Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M and others.
