2016 R250 DB talks PSU, WVU visits

Rivals250 defensive back Robbie Robinson squeezed in two more visits last weekend before the season starts. The 2016 star at Hampton (Va.) Phoebus visited Penn State on Sunday and saw West Virginia on Saturday.
"Everything was good. Penn State was really good," said the 5-foot-9, 167-pound Robinson. "I thought it would be a traditional school with a really classic campus but everything was first class and top tier. I really loved my visit up to Penn State. I had a great time.

"I talked to coach Franklin, coach Terry Smith and coach Gattis, my recruiting coordinator," he said. "They all had great things to say about me as a player and they want me at Penn State. They think I can have an impact on the program early if I do go there. I got a chance to see their practice and see the campus. I was there for a long time.
"At West Virginia I talked to coach Holgorsen, coach Mitchell and my recruiting coordinator coach Galloway," Robinson said. "I loved their laid back personality. I was real comfortable in the stadium and at the practice."
Robinson compared the two schools.
"They're both football towns with a great atmosphere during game time," he said. "The area around Penn State is probably bigger. There is more up there than in Morgantown."
Thanksgiving will make a big moment in Robinson's recruitment.
"I'll probably name a top ten on November 25, my birthday," said Robinson. "I really liked both the schools and when I do make a top ten both of them will definitely be in there."
There are a few games Robinson is hoping to see in person this year.
"I'll be at the Virginia game against UCLA this Saturday," he said. "I also want to go to the Oklahoma game at West Virginia and I want to go back up to Penn State when they play Maryland.
Robinson racked up 80 tackles, four interceptions and four sacks last year. He return one of those interceptions for a touchdown. Robinson also had five punt returns for a touchdown and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
