2016 QB high on Miss. State, Baylor

Class of 2016 Zachary (La.) quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. is still waiting on his first offer, but plenty of big-time schools are keeping close tabs on the dual-threat prospect.
"I'm talking to Mississippi State, Baylor, Arkansas and UCLA," Scott said. "I'm going to get out and camp and show them what I can do and hopefully they'll offer."

Scott's most recent recruiting trip was to Starkville, where he took quite a liking to the Mississippi State campus.
"I liked the whole experience," Scott said. "I like the facilities and everything. It was cool. I like what they had to say, they said that some people judge on size at quarterback but that's not what they do. You come in and as long as you show the ability and the leadership and everything then that's what they want. They want to see me have a great year and they'll think about offering me."
When it comes to a "dream offer" Scott said one school continues to come to mind.
"Baylor is the one I really want right now," he said. "I like the quick offense they run and the tempo. I haven't been down yet but I'm planning a trip soon. They want me to get down so they can meet me."
Scott stands at 5-foot-10, 183 pounds but said he still thinks he has the talent to play at the next level and he's hoping schools will recognize that.
"I don't worry about the height," he said. "I have the mental part down and I know I have the arm. I'm just going to go out and show them what I can do."
