2016 QB high on Bruins

Malik Henry watched UCLA spring practice last week, talked with the coaches and got a better feel for the program.
That's a big thing especially since the 2016 quarterback from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake has been so complimentary of the Bruins recently and said they definitely look good in his recruitment early on.

"UCLA is definitely at the top of my list," Henry said. "I love the school, I love the campus, the environment and the coaching staff and the education is top of the line so you can't go wrong with UCLA.
"I don't want to say I have a favorite right now because I don't but I like UCLA right now. They're up there."
So far, Henry, one of the best quarterbacks at the recent Pylon Sports 7on7 in Las Vegas, has been offered by Arizona State, BYU, Colorado, Nebraska, UAB, UCLA and USC.
Getting down to UCLA and seeing practice, talking with the coaches and being around the team was definitely a big deal to Henry, who threw for 2,362 yards with 21 touchdowns in his sophomore season.
"I just wanted to see the offense and how the tempo was going to go," Henry said. "It was the first day so the tempo went well. There was a very high level of competition and it was pretty fun to watch.
"I talked to coach (Jim) Mora and when it was done I talked to coach (Taylor) Mazzone after practice. We just talked about football and some other things and then they took me to the locker room. I got to see all the players so that was good."
The 2016 quarterback could visit Arizona State over spring break. Plans are getting worked on to camp at Ohio State and South Carolina this summer. A trip to BYU is a possibility.
Henry also said Notre Dame has reached out a lot more recently.
"Notre Dame contacted me a couple months ago but I just talked to their quarterbacks coach and I'm supposed to go down there sometime this summer," Henry said. "I know he's coming down here so we'll see what happens."
