2016 OL likes Duke

Offensive lineman Zach Mayo of Mount Pleasant (N.C.) said that his favorite school right now is probably Duke and he knows a few things about the school.
"I like coach Cutcliffe the way they run things," said the 6-foot-2, 275-pound Mayo. "It's a great education and that's really what I'm looking for. I know that they recruit a lot of guys from this area, so it's got a home feel."

Mayo also really likes Wake Forest and Appalachian State. He is open to considering any schools at this point.
"My recruitment is completely open," he said. "Florida talks to me a lot and Old Dominion talks to me multiple times a week, so right now it's pretty much open."
Mayo has not received any offers yet, but he does think a few schools are close to offering him one.
"I haven't gotten any offers right now," said Mayo. "I know that Charlotte and Old Dominion I think are pretty close to offering along with Duke because I have a lot of schools come by school to get my transcript and all of that stuff, so hopefully I will get one here before too long."
Mayo's most recent visit was to Charlotte and he said that he enjoyed the visit.
"It was Charlotte two weeks ago," said Mayo. "It was good. I got to talk to Coach Ratliff the offensive line coach for a little bit and he's a really cool guy. Charlotte's only 20 minutes down the road, so it's a nice close visit and I got to watch some good football. I got to know coach Ratliff more and he's a really fiery coach and I like it."
Mayo said that he plans on visiting Charlotte or Duke this weekend. He plans on announcing his commitment decision at some point this summer.
