2016 DT Perry high on Ole Miss

Over the past few years the staff at Ole Miss has done an excellent job of recruiting the city of Memphis, Tenn. and the Rebels coaches are already getting a jump start on the Class of 2016.
Memphis (Tenn.) Academy of Health Sciences 2016 defensive tackle Michael Perry already has an offer from the Rebels and said he's building a tight bond with assistant Maurice Harris.

"The face that he's from my city and can relate to a lot of things means a lot to me," the 6-foot, 327-pound prospect said. "We went down with my grandmother and he talked to her and made her feel more comfortable about Ole Miss as an option. I'm not ready to think about it that specifically yet but now she knows that if I go there it would be a good place for me. He put her at ease about Ole Miss being a safe place and family oriented."
With several players from the Memphis area already on the roster, Perry said he already feels comfortable when he visits Oxford.
"There's a few guys at Ole Miss right now that are from Memphis that I'm familiar with," Perry said. "Guys like Herbert Moore, he's a good friend of mine and sort of like a mentor. It means a lot to me that there are guys there that I could play with that I look up to and that I already have a relationship with."
Perry was last on campus early in the summer, but said he'll be back for a game this fall.
"Last time it was my first time meeting Coach Kiffin and those guys," he said. "I liked everything. Now I want to go back and see it on game day."
Perry also has an offer from Tennessee and said he's receiving interest from Alabama, Rutgers, Northwestern, Missouri and Duke among others.
