2016 DE sees USC practice

Breland Brandt is just getting started with the busy recruiting process but last week he took an important trip to watch USC spring practice.
The 2016 defensive end from Los Angeles Windward said it's far too early to name favorites but it was great to be around coach Steve Sarkisian and his coaching staff and to get a much better feel for the Trojans.

"I went last week," Brandt said.
"It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching the guys get after it. I enjoyed seeing what a college football practice was like. I got a chance to meet the coaches and I got a chance to talk with coach Sarkisian again so it was great."
The USC coaches are not putting the hard sell yet on Brandt, a 6-foot-3, 208-pound defensive end who shined at the recent RCS Southern California, especially since it's so early but it's clear the Trojans want him.
So far, the Los Angeles Windward standout has been offered by Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, San Diego State, UCLA and USC. Some other programs are getting involved as well.
"(Sarkisian) was just happy to see me," Brandt said. "He was happy I came out. He wanted me to be around the program more and get to know the guys and that's pretty much it.
"I'm just happy to be able to get around them and get to know them better. As far as how it has to do with where I'll go I can't really say. It's still very early and I want to take everything in. I'm just enjoying the experience."
The 2016 defensive end said new interest is coming in from Miami, Notre Dame and Utah. No other unofficial visits are planned at this point.
