2016 DE has South Carolina, Bama standing out

Class of 2016 Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep defensive end Joseph Jackson spent the spring gathering offers from some of college football's heavy hitters. Now he's ready to get out on the road and take a look at some of the schools making a push for him.
"I'm dong pretty good with recruiting," the 6-foot-4, 223-pound prospect said. "I have top teams looking at me and I can't really ask for much more I just have to do my job and keep getting better and keep up my end of the bargain."

With 14 offers now on his list, Jackson has a few schools starting to stand out.
"I would say Alabama, Cincinnati and South Carolina are the schools talking to me the most," Jackson said. "They've been on me pretty hard."
Jackson gave this thoughts on the three programs recruiting him the hardest.
Alabama: "They're telling me everything I need to know. They're letting me know that they have a lot of good players there and if I were to come there I'd have to work hard to make sure I can get on the field. I play some tight end, too, but they let me know they want me on defense."
South Carolina: "That was one of my first offers and I'm pretty devoted to South Carolina because that was my first offer and I really appreciate it."
Cincinnati: "They let me know that I can help them from Day 1 and they would love to have me so I like the idea of that too."
With a summer tour planned with his high school teammates Jackson said he intends to visit all three programs as well as several others throughout the Southeast.
