2016 DB high on Kentucky

Even though his junior season just started, Class of 2016 Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek defensive back Javon Jackson already has his first SEC offer in hand and is hoping more are coming soon.
"I got offered by Kentucky after last season and I've been in touch with them since," the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Jackson said. "I've been hearing from Tennessee, Duke and Ohio State, too."

The Wildcats and assistant coach Derrick Ansley have stayed on Jackson since offering him and he returned the favor with a visit over the summer.
"I went up there in June and it was real nice," Jackson said. "I liked it out there a lot, it was actually better than what I was expecting."
Jackson said he and Ansley got to spend a lot of quality time together while he was in Lexington.
"Coach Ansley had offered me so I went up there to check it out and I hung out with him the whole time," he said. "Once they offered I knew I had to get up to see the campus in person."
With other schools showing interest but not yet pulling the trigger, Jackson said he's staying patient and focusing on his junior season. He did add that he plans to be back in Lexington sometime soon, though.
"I just want to play and I'll let the other offers handle themselves," Jackson said. "I know I'm going to take some visits this fall and I'm going to go to Kentucky for at least one game but I don't know when."
