2015 TN safety hearing from Buckeyes

2015 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth safety Rico McGraw has been on the radar of teams in the Southeast since the beginning of the season, but now schools in the Midwest are getting a closer look at the sophomore.
"Ohio State came to my school the other day to check out practice," McGraw said. "I think they are pretty interested."

The Buckeyes are already hot on the trail of McGraw's senior teammate, Corn Elder, and he said the two have already had discussions about the school and the football program.
"I've followed them with Corn being so highly recruited by them," he said. "I've heard a lot from him about them. I've heard they're a great school."
So far during the process, McGraw's main focus has been on Alabama. He was set to visit for the Texas A&M game, but had to cancel the trip because of a work conflict. He's hoping to return to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl.
"It was disappointing but I heard it was a good game," he said. "I'm going to talk to my mom and we're going to try to go together and catch one. I want to see one more before the season is over."
Whether it's Tuscaloosa or Columbus, McGraw said he's sure of one thing, he's not afraid to travel far from home for school.
"It's different but that doesn't mean it's bad," he said. "For me it's about education and how I feel with the coaches, distance won't matter."
McGraw and his Ensworth teammates are one victory away from clinching a spot in the state championship game. If they win, they'll face either Memphis University School or Brentwood Academy, two schools they faced earlier in the year.
"I've kept in touch with [Brentwood's] Jalen Ramsey and I have a couple of friends at MUS," he said. "It's supposed to be a good game and I'll be excited but we have to handle our business first and see what happens."
