2015 TE grabs his first offer

At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, junior Nick Bowers of Kittanning, Pa. has the prototypical size for a college tight end, however because of his high school team's offense, he ended up showcasing his athleticism at other positions. This actually led to his first offer, as an ACC school recently told Bowers the big news.
Pittsburgh became the first school to offer Bowers.

"I went down and watched them practice and I watched film on the tight ends," said Bowers. "They said the head coach wanted to talk to me and he offered."
Bowers was obviously excited about his first offer.
"It was pretty awesome," said Bowers, who shared his thoughts on the Panthers' program. "I think Pitt has the talent to be a good ACC team."
Aside from Pittsburgh, Bowers is also hearing from Temple and Ohio, but overall he knows that he is still somewhat of a hidden gem.
He plans to attend numerous camps next year, but has not decided on any specific destinations at this point as he will wait for his recruiting process to play out before deciding. Bowers also mentioned that he does not have any specific schools that he hopes to hear from.
On the field this fall, Bowers actually lined up at wide receiver and quarterback.
"We run spread, so there's no tight end," he said. "I thought the season went pretty well. I tried to do as much as I can to help the team win."
He finished off with 54 receptions for 856 yards, approximately 400 yards rushing and 17 total touchdowns.
