Rivals250 Watch List member Austin Clark has taken a few visits lately. The offensive lineman from Lexington (Va.) Rockbridge has double digit offers and is working to get more.
"I went to Georgia before Thanksgiving and I went to Vanderbilt last weekend," said the 6-foot-6, 285-pound Clark.
"We got to Georgia and I talked to coach Friend a lot," he said. "I really liked what I saw down there. We saw the indoor facilities, practice field and, of course, the stadium.
"I really liked the way coach Friend coached the offensive line against Kentucky," Clark said. "I was really impressed with the way the offensive line played. They were really dominant.
"I've been talking to Vanderbilt for a while," he said. "It was cool to finally Coach Hand, Coach Franklin and the whole coaching staff. The game itself was pretty exciting. They ended up winning by a field goal so it was pretty cool. The atmosphere was pretty cool. I had never been to Nashville before and the stadium really impressed me.
"What really impressed me was, not only their stadium but their new indoor facility," said Clark. "Some of their other facilities like the weight room and locker room was pretty cool."
Clark is becoming a hot commodity in the recruiting world.
"The ones recruiting me really hard right now are Tennessee, Penn State and Duke," he said. "Right now I don't have any other visits planned because the season is winding down. If I had to guess where my next offer would come from I would say Ohio State or Georgia. I've been talking to them a lot recently. I've been getting a lot of mail from Auburn and Michigan State. I'll get in touch with them soon."
Clark is planning on going to the Under Armour All-American Combine.
