Rivals250 offensive lineman Matthew Burrell Jr. has been staying off the radar lately. The stand out junior from Woodbridge (Va.) C. D. Hylton just added offers from LSU and Miami this week.
"I called coach Grimes and he let me know about the offer," said the 6-foot-4, 286-pound Burrell. "I know LSU got Leonard Fournette this year. He is the number one running back.
"They have a couple of SEC championships and Les Miles has been there for nine years," he said. "They have a good tradition and are a big time team in the SEC. I don't know about a visit right now. We'll have to figure that out.
A few other schools have been reaching out to Burrell but he is staying focused.
"UCLA, Florida State and Tennessee have been showing interest," Burrell said. "I'm just lifting and working on my hands. I've been working with Da'Shawn Hand a lot."
Burrell started off the recruiting process quickly. He picked up a lot of offers very quickly and it looked like he would be making an early decision. Since then, Burrell has really slowed things down and has been working on his craft.
As of now Burrell does not have any visits planned.
