2015 R250 ATH ready for big game

The season has started off pretty well for Damascus (Md.) and the Hornets' star, Jalen Christian, has a lot to do with that.
"I've done really good so far," said the 5-foot-10, 173-pound Christian. "I caught a touchdown and a long punt return. We have a big game against Quince Orchard this week but we'll be ready. I watched a ton of film this week."

The 2015 Rivals250 Watch List athlete has more than 15 offers and some schools have been showing more interest than others.
"I've been getting a lot of letters lately," he said. "I think somewhere in the hundreds over the past week. I had to put them in a big box. It takes time reading them but I do it when I can.
"Clemson was my last offer," Christian said. "South Carolina has been sending a lot of hand written letters. Maryland and Virginia Tech have been doing the same thing. Tennessee, Wisconsin and Notre Dame have been recruiting me hard.
"Usually I talk to Coach Booker at Notre Dame," he said. "I have a good relationship with a lot of coaches but I guess Coach Mangus from South Carolina, Coach Morehead from Virginia Tech, Coach Brattan from Maryland and Coach Booker are the ones I have the best relationship with."
Christian wants to visit more schools this season.
"I'm just going to try to get to some games but I'm not sure which ones yet," said Christian. "My brothers both play youth football on Saturdays so I'll go visit a college when they don't play a good team."
Notre Dame was the last school to host Christian.
