Rivals100 defensive tackle Tim Settle is one of the top recruits in the nation. The stand out junior from Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson has close to 30 scholarship offers for schools across the country, but he has been pretty low key lately.
"I've been busy playing basketball," the 6-foot-2, 307-pound Settle said. "We were off all last week because of all the snow, so I don't know if coaches came in."
A little over a week ago, Settle picked up his latest offer.
"Washington State was my last offer," he said. "Ole Miss and Michigan offered before that."
Settle says he will be announcing his decision at the Under Armour All-America Game next January, so there is a lot of time left in his recruitment.
"UCLA is recruiting me pretty hard," Settle said. "I talked to coach (Jim) Mora from UCLA. They were one of my early offers.
"Coaches from Ohio State and Virginia came up not too long ago," he said. "Michigan is supposed to come to my school. I think it will be coach (Roy) Manning. He is a good dude. He is really funny and one of those coaches I really love."
Settle took a lot of visits during the fall and early winter, but he only has one planned right now.
"I know going to Virginia's junior day on March 1," Settle said. "That all I know for now."
Settle's teammate Greg Stroman is committed to Virginia Tech.
