Defensive back Garrett Taylor has been quietly gaining more and more respect around the nation. The Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher's standout is the No. 38 player in the 2015 Rivals100 and more and more schools are showing serious interest.
"Florida State is going to come up sometime this month," the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Taylor said. "I know a couple of other schools have come by like Pittsburgh."
Taylor, who is starting to think about narrowing his list, talks to a few schools more than others.
"The schools that I'm in touch with most are Stanford, Virginia Tech and Florida State," he said. "I'm trying to get in contact with Ohio State and Tennessee. Tennessee is sending a lot of mail. I'm getting a lot from Florida State, Clemson and Ohio State. LSU and North Carolina are sending a lot also.
"I'm definitely going to cut my list down sometime in mid-winter. I'm not quite sure if I'll be ready to commit before my senior year, so I might push it back a little bit because I don't want to rush it."
Taylor has been staying near home lately, but plans to get a closer look at some schools.
"I don't have any visits set up in the near future," said Taylor. "I'll probably take some visits during the winter and spring. I'm going to talk with my parents about where we want to go."
Taylor is committed to playing in the 2015 Under Armour All-American Game.
