2015 OL visits Illinois, Iowa State

The recruiting letters have been pouring in for Springfield (Ill.) Sacred Heart Griffin 2015 offensive tackle Quinn Oseland this month, and the 6-foot-6, 307-pound lineman has responded by scheduling game day visits.
Oseland has already been out to two college games this fall, starting with a trip to Illinois to see them take down Cincinnati on Sept. 7.

"It was a nice crowd and it was good to see Illinois on a different pace, beating a pretty solid team," Oseland said.
Oseland has had consistent contact with Illinois since early in his recruitment, although he only was able to have a brief conversation with the head coach while on campus.
"I talked to Coach [Tim] Beckman for a few seconds, but that was about it," Oseland said. "Coach Ricker was actually just at our last game. I haven't heard anything lately, but at their summer camp they said they were close to offering and wanted to see my first three or four game films."
Oseland followed up his trip to Champaign with a visit to Iowa State for their Sept. 14 contest against Iowa. It was his first time being on the Cyclone's campus.
"It was a pretty great environment and their fans were really into it," Oseland said. "I didn't really get to see that much, but Iowa and Iowa State seem pretty similar in how their facilities are set up and the atmospheres were pretty similar."
Oseland's next planned visit will be to Vanderbilt on Oct. 5. He is also looking to attend games at Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas and Western Michigan, as well as several out-of-region schools if he can swing it.
"It would be nice to get out to North Carolina State and places like Arizona and California because they have been sending me letters, but I don't know if I'll be able to do that," Oseland said. "Arkansas, I got an invitation to a game there and will try to get down there for a game too."
In the meantime, Oseland has helped Sacred Heart Griffin get out to a 3-1 start to their 2013 season, and he is seeing noticeable improvement over his sophomore campaign.
"The game is starting to slow down and I'm improving still," Oseland said. "Going to all these camps, like the Rivals Camps, my pass set has gotten a lot better and I have a lot better movement with my feet."
