2015 MD backer sees interest rise

Recruiting is heating up for Olney (Md.) Good Counsel 2015 linebacker Jared Hardie. The 6-foot-0, 205-pounder holds one offer and has a variety of other schools taking a look.
"He got one offer from a Division II school, Kentucky Christian," his father, Robert Hardie said. "They wanted him to commit.

"In addition, he's getting looks from Clemson, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Towson, Georgia, Northwestern, Florida State, Maryland, LSU and Pittsburgh is probably the biggest in touch with him."
Hardie had numerous invites for games this fall, but couldn't make the trips.
However, his father claims one school stands out.
"His dream school is LSU," he said. "I was in the military and in that area when he was probably nine or ten years old. He's been wearing purple and gold since. He went down to camp there last year and he was MVP in the ninth grade there. So, he's getting a bit of interest, they are just keeping up with him."
Hardie has impressed on the field earning all-conference honors for the second straight year.
"Everyone that has told me says the thing about Jared is he's a leader and he picks up on plays really well," he said. "He reads defenses like no other and studies tape. He's a tackling machine."
