2015 LB talks first SEC offer

Sometimes it takes time for prospects in the state of Mississippi to get noticed nationally but the Ole Miss coaches are ahead of the game when it comes to 2015 Olive Branch linebacker Fred Walls.
Ole Miss offered Walls earlier this summer, becoming the first school to pull the trigger on the talented rising junior.

"It was good because they got a good recruiting class last year and they consider me that kind of player," Walls said. "I was surprised that they offered me but I was happy, too. My hard work is paying off."
Walls has been to campus in Oxford before but not as a recruit and he's hoping to rectify that situation soon.
"I went over there a few months ago for a track meet," he said. "I'm trying to bet back over there for one of their practices during fall camp."
Walls said he's already hit it off with assistant coaches Tom Allen and Maurice Harris and has been impressed with both.
"They're great coaches," he said. "They're like players coaches. They're real laid back and they're good with the players. I can see why they've done so well in recruiting."
Walls is the teammate of Class of 2014 Ole Miss commit Alfred Dickens.
