2015 LB Muschamp has Tigers on top

Class of 2015 Rome (Ga.) Darlington linebacker Robert Muschamp is still waiting for his first offer, but that doesn't mean plenty of schools aren't showing interest in the 6-foot-1, 217-pounder.
"Since Sept. 1 things have really picked up a lot," Muschamp said. "I've been getting a ton of mail from everyone, schools like Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech have been showing a lot of interest."

This week Muschamp will visit the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta for his first game day experience and he has high hopes for the trip.
"I think they're the closest school to offering and I'm hoping for one this weekend," he said. "Me and [linebackers] Coach McCollum have been talking a lot and they've sent me a lot of handwritten letters."
Muschamp said he's been impressed with the Yellow Jackets so far this season and he's looking forward to getting an up-close look.
"They beat Duke pretty good last week so hopefully they can really get the program turned around and back to a high level," he said. "North Carolina should be a good test and hopefully they beat them."
This past weekend Muschamp took a visit to Auburn, where he saw the Tigers win a nail-biter over Mississippi State.
"Me and [running backs] Coach Horton talk a couple of times a week and he came by school a few weeks ago," he said. "He wanted me to come down and it was a great game. The atmosphere was crazy. My brother goes there so I got to stay all weekend. My mom went there, too, so I've always been a fan."
Muschamp admitted that the Tigers are among his early favorites.
"I'm hoping they'll offer sometime soon because they're at the top of my list," he said.
As far as future visits, Muschamp said he's hoping to see a few more schools before the fall is up.
"I haven't been to Clemson or Ole Miss yet and those are schools I really want to see," he said. "I've been talking to coaches at both schools and I've never been to either. They're both in my top tier, too."
