2015 FL safety has offers, leader

Offers are mounting for 2015 safety Melliek Jackson out of Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder is up to three scholarships according to his coach.
"Temple is his most recent offer," Champagnat Catholic coach Mike Tunsil said. "He's also received offers rom USF and UCF.

"He's not getting into the recruiting thing at all. He doesn't want to get too big headed. He's just taking it all in, so it's hard to see what he thinks about those schools."
However, Tunsil claims Jackson likes one school.
"Arkansas is interested and Coach Shannon is planning to stop by the school," he said. "He is really liking Arkansas.
"I think if they offer, you could see him commit on the spot. He's been friends with Alex Collins who is up there. They are all like family, he basically grew up with Collins.
"Arkansas is talking and they want to get his transcripts to make sure everything is alright. I wouldn't be surprised if an offer comes in the future."
He broke down his prospect.
"He was honorable mention all-county last year," he said. "This year he's played well and he's just an old school football player. He comes to work every day. He's not going to wow you, but he just plays and is a leader on the field. He's a great student too with over a 3.0 GPA."
According to Tunsil, Jackson is getting plenty of other looks from across the country including Florida State, Florida, Miami, Georgia and more.
