Offers are popping up for Hampton (Va.) Phoebus 2015 defensive lineman Harry Lewis. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder claims three scholarships with plenty more interest rolling in.
"I've got a few offers, Virginia Tech, Old Dominion and Maryland," he said. "UCLA is supposed to be offering me too sometime soon.
"I've talked to a few other college coaches, Alabama, Oregon, Penn State, LSU, Georgia and West Virginia."
Lewis has taken some visits this season.
"I visited Virginia Tech last week to see the Virginia game," he said. "I've also been to a few Old Dominion games.
"Virginia Tech was really nice, I really liked it there."
The Hokies are one of the early leaders for Lewis with one other team.
"I really like Oregon and Virginia Tech," he said. "I haven't met any of the Oregon coaches yet, but I met Virginia Tech's and they are really about education and academics. That's the most important thing. The campus is nice there and beautiful and I liked the crowd.
"It was cold on my visit, but it was nice. I liked the locker room; they have a Jacuzzi right in the locker room that surprised me."
This season, Lewis posted 36 tackles and 10 sacks.
"I played my freshman and sophomore years, but this year I played really hard," he said. "I worked out a lot in the offseason and got faster and stronger."
