2015 DB high on Tar Heels

Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek High School produced talent year in and year out and it looks as if the Class of 2015 is no exception. One of the players drawing heavy interest is defensive back Nafees Lyon, who already has offers from Charlotte and North Texas.
"Charlotte offered me early," he said. "We haven't done the best job of keeping in touch, tough. Coach Sykes talks to me on Twitter and they want me to get up there again soon."

One school that could be close to joining his offer list is North Carolina. The Tar Heels have been in regular contact and Lyon has been a regular in Chapel Hill.
"I've also been talking to Coach Brewer at UNC," he said. "I've been there a lot of times. I like Chapel Hill a lot. I guess because I've been around them a lot. I know a lot people up there, both coaches and players. I like it up there. I like the campus and it's just a nice atmosphere up there."
Lyon added that the Tar Heels improvement throughout the 2013 season really impressed him.
"They had a good season," he said. "They won the Belk Bowl and that was a good end to a good year. I watched that game and I was impressed."
Other schools in the mix include Wake Forest and N.C. State, both of which he plans to visit in the coming months.
