2015 DB Cane talks ACC offers

Class of 2015 Nashville (Tenn.) Ezell Harding Christian defensive back Elias Cane has spent the better part of the last month on the road, auditioning for offers and his hard work has netted him six already.
Among the most notable schools to offer are Rutgers, Virginia and Maryland with schools like Tennessee and Vanderbilt showing strong interest. Cane provided his thoughts on his first three big time offers:

Maryland: "I don't know that much about the program but I'm starting to do research. I know they have pretty new coaches and they're switching conferences soon. Hopefully I can get up there for a visit when I go back up that way to see my family."
Rutgers: "They're switching conferences, too. It's kind of the same situation as Maryland. I'm trying to get up there and take a visit, too."
Virginia: "They came to my school and visited during the spring. They talked to me and they talked to my coach. I think they kind of waited to see which other schools were going to offer and when I started to pick up a few they called my coach. They told me they liked my film. I'm planning on going up there with [fellow class of 2015 prospect] Drew Richmond. We haven't gotten in-depth on plans but we have talked about taking some visits together and Virginia is one of the schools we want to see."
Cane has family based in the Northeast and said he and his parents travel that way "all of the time," which makes the thought of leaving the South to play at the next level more feasible.
Despite not receiving offers from the Vols or Commodores yet, Cane said his two local schools are showing the most interest.
"Tennessee and Vanderbilt, those are the schools I want to offer," he said. "Those are the schools that I've been to that are recruiting me the hardest and they're the schools I'm really looking into right now."
Cane recently camped at both schools and the plan is to do it again this month in an effort to impress again.
"I'm going back to Vanderbilt then I'm going to Tennessee," he said. "They both wanted me to come back so I'm going to do that and then after that I'm going to focus on my season that's coming up."
