2015 ATH excited about UK offer

MORE: Catching up with Tennessee prospects
Despite playing in just two games during his junior year due to Tennessee transfer rules, Class of 2015 Nashville (Tenn.) Hillsboro athlete Vincent Perry was still able to add an SEC offer. In fact, after seeing Perry just one time, Kentucky elected to pull the trigger.

"It happened after the first game of the playoffs," Perry said. "Coach Ansley came to see me and was impressed. They offered me after that and told me about the school and everything."
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Perry, who suffered a recent knee injury, visited Kentucky over the weekend. He said having an offer from the 'Cats was enough to warrant a visit even though he hasn't be in regular contact with the school.
"It was exciting," he said. "It came and I wasn't even expecting it so that was big."
Other schools in regular contact recently include Purdue, Ohio State and Tennessee. However, there's one SEC school that he's waiting on.
"I really want to get Ole Miss," Perry said. "I just like land sharks I guess. I just like the school. I haven't been over there yet but I really like what they've been able to do."
His injury will likely keep him on the shelf for a few months, but Perry is still planning on visits. He said that Tennessee, Purdue and Ohio State are all on his list.
