2014 Simmons has one offer, early leaders

One offer is in for La Plata, Md. 2014 wide receiver Jvon Simmons. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder has plenty of other schools moving in as he is looking at taking some trips this fall.
"I have one offer from Toledo," he said. "I went down there for camp and met all the coaches. It was really cool down there. I like the coaching staff and they offered at camp. They told me if I came to camp they'd offer and they did."

Aside from Toledo, Simmons has been to camps at Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Northern Illinois, West Virginia, Delaware and Maryland.
"They all like how I'm big and smooth when I run my routes," he said. "They like how I go up and get the ball. They just want me to work on my speed.
"They all showed interest, but I know West Virginia when I was down there was really impressed. They want me to come back for their junior day in February."
So, does Simmons like anyone?
"I really like Pittsburgh and West Virginia," he said. "I just like the coaching staffs a lot. I like the wide receivers coaches."
Meanwhile, Simmons noted plans to head to Virginia Tech and West Virginia for a game this fall sometime, but dates were still up in the air.
On the field, Simmons posted 40 receptions and three touchdowns as a sophomore last season.
