2014 Payne adds offers

Offers are rising for Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson 2014 cornerback D'Andre Payne. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder claims five new offers late last week from teams across the country.
"Iowa State offered him on Saturday, Cincinnati on Wednesday, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Southern Miss offered too," H.D. Woodson assistant Wayne Johnson said of Payne. "I think he's up to 10 offers now. His tape has just come out."
How has he reacted to the news?

"He said he's definitely counting the SEC," he said. "He's told me he wants to get in where he can play at and definitely wants a BCS schools.
"He knows it's early and he's in the tenth grade. Once it's started to hit, he's really realized and he's a great student now. He's a 3.6 GPA student and is taking SAT prep classes. He's getting that out of the way early so he can concentrate on football and graduate."
In terms of what's next, Payne has a few trips set.
"I know he's going to Friday Night Lights down in Florida this summer along with Dawg Night at Georgia the same week," he said. "He's also planning to fly out to Oregon on May 21st."
