A giant offensive lineman has been growing up in the shadow of Virginia Tech's campus. Does that make them the favorite? We can't say for sure but one this is certain, Coleman Thomas will have more than the three scholarship offers he has now when all is said and done.
"I went to the Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech game and I'm going to the Florida State game," said the 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive tackle. "I like it there, it's only 30 minutes from my house so I kind of have to like Virginia Tech. I went to their one-day camp and met all the coaches.

"The coaches at West Virginia and the facilities there are really nice. I've been a fan for a longtime and they were my favorite team growing up even though I'm in Virginia Tech's backyard," Thomas said laughing. "I went to West Virginia when they played Marshall. I've been going to West Virginia games for a long time because I've got family in Fairmont, which is really close to Morgantown.
"At Virginia, it's a great education, that's the main reason I like them," said the junior out of Max Meadows (Va.) Ft. Chiswell. "The coaches really get after their guys and the facilities are one of the nicest I've been to."
"Cincinnati and Missouri have been contacting me the most," explained Thomas. "I don't know much about them, only what I've seen on TV.
"It's almost a sin for a West Virginia fan to be talking to Pitt, but I like them too," he said. "I talked to their recruiting coordinator and I'm going to try to go up for the game when they play Rutgers."
Other than the Pitt vs Rutgers game, Thomas is still undecided about his next visits.
