2014 OL continues to get big offers

Junior offensive tackle Quenton Nelson has been one of the hottest names in the 2014 class. With 13 scholarship offers already, the prospect from Red Bank (N.J.) Red Bank Catholic is trying to stay grounded.
"I didn't really think I was going to get a scholarship offer when I was growing up," said Nelson. "I'm looking for a school with good academics, a good football program and a place where I can have great relationship with my position coach, head coach and strength coach."

Having offers from schools like Wisconsin, West Virginia, Ohio State and Michigan State this early in the process is big time. Is there a school Nelson likes more than the others?
"I haven't seen every school so I can't say any of them stick out in my mind yet," he said. "I think Northwestern will be next offer because they are visiting my high school on Monday."
There were two offers Nelson was a little happier to receive than the others.
"I liked Michigan state growing up because my brother was a Penn State fan and there are a ton of Notre Dame fans around here so I wanted to be a rebel," he said laughing. "I also liked Rutgers because they're close to home."
Nelson is no stranger to the campus environment. He has already taken a few visits.
"I've been to Rutgers for a game and Penn State for a camp," said the 6-foot-5, 282-pound Nelson. "I'm also going to Penn State this weekend and I might go to the Ohio State vs. Michigan game"
What does Nelson think about Penn State?
"The team looks great and they're doing really well this year," he said. "Coach O'Brien is really bringing that program around. I went to their camp and I met coach O'Brien, my position coach and the strength coach."
Penn State plays Ohio State this Saturday in Happy Valley.
