2014 four-star nabs SEC offer

With two brothers currently playing in college, Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy offensive lineman Alex Bars is no stranger to the recruiting process. But now that he's the one in the spotlight, he's enjoying every minute of it.
Bars has seen a steady stream of college coaches pay him a visit over the past week, including Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease, who gave Bars another offer to add to his already impressive list.

"They came by Tuesday and Coach Pease offered me," Bars said. "It's really exciting and they're a great school and it's a great offer."
Also stopping by Nashville this week were coaches from Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Stanford. The Cardinal have yet to offer, but Bars believes they will shortly.
"They told me they're watching my film next week and will get back to me," Bars said. "I'm definitely interested in Stanford and I've thought about the West Coast, that would be sweet."
Bars said the Bell Academy coaches went out to Palo Alto earlier this year to meet with coaches and pick up some tips that were implemented this year.
"We kind of have the same set up for our school that they have offensively," Bars said. "It's a great offense for a lineman."
With football season over, Bars has already turned his attention to basketball, where he starts at center. He's also planning on attending the Army Underclassmen Combine in San Antonio.
In the meantime, he'll continue to host visitors before evaluating his options and deciding where he'll be visiting next year.
"Georgia is going to come by soon," Bars said. "And I'm not sure about who else, they just sort of pop in at school. I know Penn State is also planning on coming by."
For now, Bars is sticking to his timeline of late spring to make a decision.
"It will probably be early spring when I sit down and evaluate where I want to visit," Bars said. "Then I'll take some trips and see where I stand."
