2014 DT Harris sees recruiting explode

Offers are starting to pile up for Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor 2014 defensive tackle Nyquan Harris. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder claims five scholarships at this time. The latest offer for Harris comes from one of the nation's top teams.
"My recruitment has skyrocketed," he said. "Recently I got an offer from Alabama, about two weeks ago. I also have offers from Michigan, NC State, Clemson and Old Dominion."

Clemson was the first school to offer back in the summer and Harris gave his take.
"I went to their camp at school," he said. "I actually like their program a lot. I've been up there to see the campus and dorms. I would say that my choice right now would probably be between Alabama and Clemson."
Meanwhile, what's his take on the Tide?
"They offered a couple weeks ago," he said. "I was excited. I was ready to commit when I first heard. They have a top defense and a top offense. They are good all around the board, but I've got to look more into what majors they have and stuff like that. I've got to do more research."
On top of that, Harris wants to take a visit to Alabama, likely in January.
With that fact, Harris claims a decision isn't likely anytime soon.
"I'm not close," he said. "I want to take some visits and see the schools more. I want a school that can help me academically as well as get me to the next level."
On the year, Harris is averaging approximately seven tackles a game.
"It's been a good year so far," he said. "Our defense is playing well and we haven't given up many yards rushing. I'm the big man in the middle.
"My instincts are really sticking out now. I know where the ball is and I arrive in a bad mood."
