2014 DB recaps Pitt visit

Rodney Williams stopped off at Pitt a couple of weeks ago and the 2014 defensive back gave his thoughts on that early this week.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound corner from Cherry Hills (N.J.) was at Pitt a few weeks back for the Panthers' game against Virginia Tech. Pitt had a rough start to the season but that was a good game for him to make it to, at least as far as the Pitt coaches were probably concerned.

"It was a great atmosphere," Williams said. "I wanted to check out how the fan support was. It was a good football town.
"I saw how their fans get up on third down. They gave them ovations and they were really into it. That's what I liked best about it."
Williams isn't sure whether he will be recruited to play wide receiver or defensive back yet. Most schools, including Pitt, are recruiting him as an athlete for now.
"I think it will probably be corner but it could be slot receiver," he said.
West Virginia, Iowa, Rutgers, Boston College and Iowa are the other schools showing interest in Williams. He also noted that his coach is reaching out to Tennessee and Oregon to gauge their interest.
"I'm really trying to get Oregon on the map. It's really far but I love their style of play. I love their defense and their fan support," he said.
