2014 DB hoping for a big season

Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy 2014 safety Vashon Tucker has three scholarship offers at this time. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder discussed the three offers as well as mounting new interest from schools.
"I have offers from Hawaii, Rutgers and UCLA," he said. "I actually got the UCLA one about three months ago."

Tucker gave his thoughts on his most recent offer.
"I like them a lot," he said. "I really don't know a lot about their school, but I've talked to the coach that offered me and he seemed really cool."
While he knows less about the UCLA offer, Tucker has been gathering more information on both Rutgers and Hawaii.
"I like Rutgers and Hawaii is ok," he said. "I don't know a lot about Hawaii, but I know Rutgers is the birthplace of college football. I've been to their campus about five times and it's pretty cool."
A few other schools are monitoring the rising junior.
"I have talked to Wake Forest and Maryland's coaches," he said. "They both just asked me to come to camp and want to check out my game film.
Those are the ones I'm aware of."
Does Tucker have any early favorites?
"I like a lot of schools," he said. "I'm just looking for the best school that fits me."
Aside from his offers and new interest, Tucker is also hoping to hear from one other specific school.
"I like Miami. It's a dream school," he said. "I've been watching them ever since I was younger. My two favorite players have come out of Miami, Ed Reed and Sean Taylor."
Tucker and Eastern Christian Academy opened with a win on Friday, 39-35 against Strom Thurmond.
For Tucker, he's already seeing a difference, as he wants to prove himself even more this season.
"I'm much smarter this year, my knowledge of the game and I'm breaking on the ball better. I'm getting faster too," he said. "I just want to set the tone this year by getting more hits and becoming a national recruit. I want to build on my season last year."
