2014 ATH Truitt sees interest perk up

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High 2014 athlete Omar Truitt is seeing his interest pick up. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder has two offers to date, but schools are quickly checking out the versatile prospect.
"Boston College and I have been talking a lot lately," he said. "They came to the school and told my coach they love my film. They plan to come back later this month. I think I'll be expecting an offer from them very soon, they want me down for a visit. I plan to go down in four weeks."

Other schools have stopped by too.
"A whole bunch of schools have come back," he said. "Virginia Tech stopped by last week and it wasn't a big conversation, but they want me to come to camp.
"Alabama has also been in touch recently. They have targeted me as a top 2014 prospect in the country. Anytime Alabama wants you to do something, you must be doing it right."
The next step for Truitt is camps this summer.
"Well, for right now I've got camps set to Oregon, Auburn, Tennessee and Alabama on July 15th. I'll probably go to Syracuse and probably visit Virginia Tech on my way back from Tennessee."
At this time, Truitt has two offers from Syracuse and Richmond.
Does anyone stick out right now?
"I've got a lot of interest in all of these colleges," he said. "Michigan is a big one, they came by the school and are interested in me. They shook hands with me and I like the big tradition there.
"Alabama is of course in the SEC and a great football school. Then, Boston College is up there. Coach Washington is the one recruiting me and he has done a fabulous job. He's got excellent character and is doing a really good job, but you know things are always changing."
