2013 QB holds one offer

Despite not playing on the varsity level during his freshman season last year, Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge quarterback Ryan Burns pulled his first offer already. The 6-foot-5, 218-pounder landed it following a camp at one ACC school.
"I got offered following a four day camp at Boston College," he said. "I called them and they just said they wanted to be the first ones and I have a lot of time to make my decision."

Burns reflected on the offer.
"I was extremely surprised," he said. "I knew they liked me at the camp and I wasn't expecting a scholarship offer at the end of it, but I'm happy with it.
"I just know a bit of history about them, they've had I think 11 winning season and had Matt Ryan and Doug Flutie. I know they are a good program."
For the most part, recruiting has been relatively lowkey for the rising sophomore.
Does he like anyone in the early going?
"Not really," he said. "I just moved from Wyoming and I didn't really pay attention to college sports out there."
This past season Burns helped his JV team to a 9-1 record, this year he's planning to split time with a senior quarterback at Stone Bridge.
"My coach is going to try to get me in the mix more during the season, but nothing is set right now. I just have to work for everything," he said. "I just want to get some varsity experience and perform well."
