2013 QB close to more offers

Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem quarterback, Bucky Hodges, will be entering his junior season this fall, but in many ways the 6-foot-5, 215-pound gunslinger already resembles Josh Freeman, his favorite player from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The big quarterback is known for making plays with both his arm and his feet and has already received offers from Virginia Tech and Virginia.
Hodges already has plenty of thoughts about both of his in-state programs.

"I went up to Virginia for the Miami game last year," said Hodges. "I like what I have seen from Virginia. They have been rebuilding their program for a couple of years and a lot of my friends go there."
"I have also been up to Virginia Tech a bunch of times, they have a great program and they put guys in the NFL," said Hodges. "I also have some friends that go there."
Salem's signal caller was busy over the summer attending camps at Virginia Tech, Florida, Old Dominion and East Carolina. He impressed at many of these camps and landed on the radar of some top schools. Is anyone else close to offering?
"Florida said if I come out and play the way I did last year, they will offer me after my fifth game," said Hodges. "Tennessee says they are about to offer and I think Texas is close. This is a big year for me; I think I am going to pull in a bunch of offers."
While it is early, Hodges is already formulating a list of top schools.
"Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas, Tennessee, East Carolina, Florida and Ohio State are my top schools," said Hodges. "I don't have any favorites."
The top 2013 prospect is primed to have a big junior season and hopes he can lead his team to a state title. Hodges plans to take in games at Virginia, Virginia Tech and East Carolina during the fall.
