2013 Pennsylvania LB has plenty of interest

With an early verbal offer from Pitt and interest from schools all across the country Brandon Chatmon has to feel pretty good about the situation he finds himself in today.
The 6-foot, 217-pound linebacker from Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara is largely focused on his junior season these days.

Cardinal O'Hara has already had two scrimmages.
"I think we look good," Chatmon said on Sunday. "We're not as great as we can be yet but I feel good about where we're at. We've got our first game this Saturday so we'll see. We should win but we'll see how it plays out."
Chatmon projects as a linebacker in college but he will also line up at tight end and fullback for Cardinal O'Hara.
Pitt, the only school to offer thus far, is in a good spot early.
"I love Pitt," Chatmon said. "It's a great place up there. It reminds me of Philadelphia where I'm from. Plus it's close to home."
What are some other schools that have Chatmon's attention?
"I really like Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, Rutgers, Temple, Iowa ... schools like that," he said. "Actually, Alabama just called my coach and they want some of my film.
"There are a lot of schools that are interested. I just got a letter from Stanford, too.
"I like every school that comes my way. I don't really have any favorites for now."
Chatmon recently visited Maryland and enjoyed his time in College park.
"It was awesome," he said. "I loved the facilities. It was great. The coaches there were awesome."
He'll have another chance to see Maryland again soon. Chatmon will be returning to the ACC school on September 5 for their season opener against Miami.
