2013 OT Officer is starting to get interest

Rochester (N.Y.) Eastridge Senior 2013 offensive tackle Alexander Officer is an emerging prospect to watch. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder hasn't pulled an offer, but has a fair amount of college interest.
"Syracuse, Pittsburgh and mostly schools in the Northeast are starting to look," he said.

Officer claims no favorites in the early going.
"I'm not a big-time college fan, I like all the schools, they are pretty nice."
Officer has ties to one college in Virginia Tech where his brother, Jerome Lewis attended until recently transferring.
"It's a nice school," he said of Tech. It's a really nice school and I've been there many times. I liked the campus and the energy of the stadium, but I wouldn't go there."
With colleges taking a look, what is Officer looking for?
"You know, I want to go to school as close to home as I can and get a good experience out of it," he said. "I want a good education and hopefully continue with football."
On the field, Officer earned first team all-county and honorable mention all-area as a sophomore.
"I had a really good season last year, I stepped out," he said. "I'm a big guy that can move pretty well with my feet. I'm pretty light on my feet and physical."
