2013 Ohio DE has five offers

One of the top rising juniors in Ohio is saying he doesn't have any favorites but he does have unique ties to two schools.
Ohio State and Notre Dame are in good shape with Jake Butt, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound defensive end from Pickerington (Ohio) North.

"I've grown up an Ohio State fan my whole life," Butt admitted. "And my grandpa, Robert Lally, actually played football at Notre Dame. They won the national championship three times while he was there."
It's not clear how much interest the Buckeyes and Irish have in Butt, though other schools seem to be sold.
Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Toledo and UCLA have already offered Butt.
"The offers from UCLA, Toledo and Kent State came in about two, three weeks ago. Bowling Green and Buffalo were almost back to back a couple of months ago," he explained.
"I've talked to all of the coaches. I've talked to UCLA's defensive coordinator and Toledo's tight ends coach."
Most schools seem to be recruiting Butt as a defensive end but there's a chance he could play tight end at the college level.
This year Butt attended a junior day at Bowling Green. He hopes to visit Toledo and Kent State. Butt also mentioned that if he takes a trip to UCLA it will probably have to be an official visit, and that won't be for more than a year.
Purdue, Northwestern, Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Illinois, Indiana and Duke have been showing interest or sending mail so far.
