2013 lineman has a dream school

Interest towards 2013 offensive lineman Robert Mahon of Randolph (N.J.) has climbed substantially during the spring evaluation period, and soon the sophomore will return the favor by attending a number of summer camps.
"Recruiting has recently gone very well," said Mahon, who is 6-foot-5 and 305-pounds. "I have been talking to Rutgers on a weekly basis, and I was invited to summer camps at Maryland and Penn State."

This summer, Mahon will attend camps at Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland and Boston College.
"I want to prove that I am a hard worker and that with hard work you can be the best," said Mahon. "That's what I want the coaches to know. I am very serious about playing at the next level."
Mahon may be a late bloomer due to his size as a youngster, but when asked about a favorite school while he was growing up, he had an answer.
"I was always too heavy to play football in Pee Wee, so football didn't really come to me until last year," said Mahon. "That's when I realized that Penn State is my dream school."
In between his camp appearances, Mahon will continue to prepare for his junior season.
"I plan on improving every year," said Mahon, who played right tackle last season. "I'm not perfect at anything, but I am a very good pass blocker and my run blocking is strong when I keep my feet moving. I would like to improve most in my traps and down field blocks."
