2013 Jersey ATH visits Florida, Miami

Kyle LaPorte is one of the top Class of 2013 prospects from New Jersey and the 5-foot-10, 175-pound athlete recently visited two schools in the Sunshine State.
Though Penn State is the only school that has offered LaPorte so far the Nittany Lions aren't alone in their interest.

"I was down at Florida and Miami this week," LaPorte explained. "I went to Florida one day and then Miami, too."
How did the trips to each school go?
"Florida was a pretty good trip. I got a good tour," he recalled. "I liked the coaching staff and the way they run their practice. It was pretty good.
"Miami was good, too. Their coaching staff was really friendly and the players were cool. Practice was really intense and up tempo. I thought the campus was pretty nice."
When asked to rate each trip on a scale of 1-10, LaPorte rated his trip to Florida a '9' and his trip to Miami an '8'.
"They both said they should be offering real soon," LaPorte added. "They're going to keep in touch."
LaPorte, who is being recruited as a cornerback, said he is probably done with college visits until the end of his junior season at Piscataway.
