2013 DT Webb takes unofficial to PSU

2013 defensive tackle Greg Webb out of Sickerville (N.J.) Timber Creek made an unofficial visit this past weekend. It's just the latest trip for the 6-foot-2, 290-pounder.
"I was at Penn State yesterday with Dajuan (Drennon), Quanzell (Lambert) and Myles (Nash)," he said. "It was good. They gave us a lot of hospitality. It was really fun and a great atmosphere. The stadium was jumping.

"I had been before, but it was my first time during a game. It looked like a nice place to play. There was just a lot of energy there."
However, Webb didn't get a lot of time with the coaches on the trip.
"I didn't talk to them too much, I had to leave early to get back to the house," he said. "Before the game, they were just saying how they were ready for the game to come and planning to play Alabama."
Webb is considering more trips soon.
"I might be there at Penn State for the Iowa game soon, I also might go up to Rutgers again for another game."
In addition, Webb landed his eighth scholarship this past week and first from the ACC.
"I got an offer from NC state last week," he said. "That's my first ACC offer and I love the ACC, that is one of my favorite conferences. I'm very appreciative for it."
Is he still hoping for any other specific scholarships?
"I'm hoping a couple more schools hop on like Alabama or South Carolina," he said. "I want teams like that, some in the SEC schools. I guess I just have to play better.
"I'm originally from down south and I always wanted to play in it some day."
In the season opener on Friday, Webb led a defensive shutout.
"We're 1-0 and our team did pretty well on defense, we held a shutout," he said. "I did well, I got about two or 2.5 sacks.
"I'm in better shape and teams aren't just singling me out. I'm continuing to work on my conditioning to beat skill guys."
