2013 Delaware WR claims an offer

Wilmington (Dela.) St. Elizabeth 2013 wide receiver Andre Patton landed his first offer prior to the summer. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder discussed the scholarship, his summer and a look ahead to his junior season.
"I just have the one offer from Rutgers right now," he said. "I got it towards the end of the school year last year. They came to my school and then I went down there in the spring and I liked the facilities and how they coach. I connected with the receiver's coach the most. I just liked the field, it was really nice, but I'm still keeping my options open."

Other colleges are taking notice of Patton too.
"I got camp invites from Notre Dame, Clemson, Alabama and Penn State," he said. "Rutgers is the only school I've visited so far.
"I'm going to go back during the season for a Rutgers game."
Patton noted no plans for a specific game for the Scarlet Knights.
So, does the Delaware prospect like anyone early?
"Not really," he said. "I like whatever and wherever I can go and play. Whatever I can get, I'll take it."
Though he played as a freshman, Patton broke out as a sophomore with over 400-yards receiving and eight touchdowns.
"I did pretty well," he said. "I think my hard work and dedication stick out. I just like to work hard and get better every day.
"I'm still working on my quickness, cuts and my routes I'll be running. I'm working on my catching and more of my speed, the little techniques I can use to improve my game."
Not only a football player, Patton is a recruitable basketball player who averages 18-points for his high school.
"I've gotten a couple colleges looking at me like Providence and Drexel," he said. "I like both sports, but I'm kind of pushing more towards football."
