2013 DE off to a strong start

Philadelphia (Pa.) George Washington junior defensive end Justin Moody is off to a great start so far this year.
George Washington is undefeated through three games and Moody, a 6-foot-3, 264-pound defensive end, is a big reason why.

"I think I've played well," Moody said this week. "I've improved on a lot of things that I was working on over the summer. Ultimately I think I've played well these past couple of games."
That might be an understatement. Moody has four sacks in the first three games, meaning he has developed into one of the top pass rushers in the state.
Rutgers gave him an early verbal offer and the Scarlet Knights are looking pretty smart for doing so.
"A lot of coaches have been messaging me on Facebook," he added. "Rutgers, Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee, Connecticut.
"I'm trying to get out to some games. I want to get up to a Rutgers game or a Syracuse or Pitt game sometime during the season."
Obviously Pitt and Syracuse are heading to the ACC. Moody offered his thoughts on conference realignment.
"I've followed it," he said. "I think it's great (for Pitt and Syracuse) so they can have more competition and show their ability. They'll get to step it up a notch."
Moody said he doesn't have any favorites at this point.
