2012 wideout claims one offer

Reistertown (Md.) Franklin 2012 wide receiver Ian Thomas claims one offer to date. The 6-foot-1, 187-pounder reflected on his recruitment to date and his early favorite.
"I got my first scholarship from Pittsburgh when I went to their camp on June 12th," he said. "They offered me after the camp. I was excited about my first offer.

"I don't know too much about Pittsburgh. I know they play in the Big East and went to a bowl last year."
A few other teams including Boston College, Maryland, West Virginia, Rutgers and Penn State are checking out Thomas early on.
While he hasn't heard from Miami, Thomas is high on the Hurricanes.
"My favorite school would be Miami," he said. "That's the school I like the most. I just like their history. I watched the show on ESPN about the Hurricanes and their 1980's swag and I liked all of that."
Thomas broke out as a sophomore last season posting 33 receptions for 452-yards and five touchdowns. He added 54 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown.
"As a sophomore I did pretty well, it could be better during my junior year," he said. "I would like to improve on my run blocking and be the best player I can be. I want to give it all for my team this year."
